BAR Studioは2016年に香港で最も古いラグジュアリーホテルの１つであるグランドハイアット香港のリノベーションを行いました。ホテルは1989年に開業され、545の客室、10のレストラン・バー、21のイベントスペースをもつ香港で最も大きなラグジュアリーホテルです。

BAR Studioは新しいゲストルーム、スイート、廊下、テッパンルーム、グランドカフェ、グランドクラブ、グランドスイートのリデザインを行いました。

BAR Studioの得意とするアジア的なクラシックモダンラグジュアリーのスタイルがこのホテルの目的と合致しており、香港で最も古いラグジュアリーホテルとしての歴史と伝統の美しさを表現しています。それはグランドハイアット香港を愛する古くからのゲストと香港のラグジュアリーライフを経験し始めた若い世代の両方にアプローチするデザインに仕上がっています。

The new guestrooms feel spacious and light-filled, contrasting with the richly hued guest-floor corridors. The Teppanroom offers a sophisticated and discreet private-dining experience, with a rich and moody interior, vibrant attitude, and wide-ranging stylistic influences layered over a Japanese base. Grand Café has been a Grand Hyatt Hong Kong institution since the hotel opened in 1989 but after more than 20 years in operation, it was time to return the hotel’s F&B mainstay to the forefront of restaurant design by re-interpreting Grand Café for a new era without losing touch with its context and history: display kitchens bring the theatre of the kitchen into the restaurant and create a series of spaces, each with their own identity, interest and strength, that work together to form a dynamic café-restaurant environment. The new Grand Club has a diversity of furniture settings that suggest a sophisticated loft-space, including an intimate living room with communal table, private meeting rooms, a lounge space with an eclectic mix of comfortable seating, a library and an inviting kitchen for guest use. The Club also anchors the diverse and stylish collection of interiors comprising the renovated Grand Suites; inspired by fictional travellers whose journeys might have brought them through the hotel’s doors, the suites form a set of exclusive, individual and residence-like spaces within the hotel.
