Hand-thrown on a pottery wheel with an inviting golden brown/aqua green 'sea oats' glaze, the functional French Onion Soup Bowl includes a handle to move the bowl from oven to table. The use of durable stoneware clay allows the serving bowl to be safe for the dishwasher, oven, and microwave, while keeping the onion soup hot and toasty when served. Made by hand in Texas, with an American-made glaze that is lead-free and cadmium-free. 16-ounce capacity. How else can I use a French Onion Soup Bowl? Although designed with the French favorite in mind (and includes the recipe), the bowl also pairs well with chowder, minestrone, and other soups. Note: Ceramic stoneware is safe for the oven, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, but should not be used with a direct flame or on a stove-top.
